So in today’s episode, let’s take a look at nine web design trends for 2019.
Website trends 2019: what’s going on?
hello, I’m your host Kaycinho, I’m a digital alchemist and today I’m going to share with you 9 web design trends for 2019.
Now before we dive in, a word about trends.
Trends are not always good, so it’s up to you, to identify what’s in the good trends team and what’s in the bad trends team.
Just like you probably wouldn’t want to be called a fashion victim, you wouldn’t want to be called a web design trend victim either, would you?
Now how may you identify that you may ask?
Well, by taking some time, each and every week. Even if it is just 30 minutes. Just to browse the web, look at what works, what doesn’t work.
And how you can implement what you’ve learned in your own web designs.
Now who knows, may be you’ll be the one starting a web design trend one of these days.
So, enough talk, let’s dive in!
Website trends 2019
For the best experience, I encourage you to watch the video above.
However, in case you need a quick reference, here it is!
Website trends 2019 – 1: Asymmetrical design
Although I’m a fan of symmetrical / grid design, I must say that I’m starting to like asymmetrical design more and more, especially when it’s well executed.
Also, being professional is being able to use trends in the projects that would benefit from it.

Website trends 2019 – 2: Motion effects
Motion effects are not new, but they are being used differently. More subtle maybe, and definitely more widespread than it used to be (except on specific creative websites).
It’s now common to see motion effects smartly used on corporate websites.

Website trends 2019 – 3 : Interactions
Just like Motion effects, interactions are not new. But where most interaction used to be purely for eye candy, we now since it used more in depth.
When interaction meets utility, you can mix eye candy with a great user experience. And the talented UX tribe would agree.

Website trends 2019 – 4: Minimalism

Less is definitely more.

Website trends 2019 – 5: Illustrations
Using illustrations is not new, and not necessarily a 2019-specific trend.
What we’re seeing though is that this year, more and more corporate websites tend to use illustrations to help the users focus on the message.
The only downside it tends to be over-used, even when photography would be more appropriate.
